C3Studios | Training High School Students
C3Studios is a live production studio run by high school students who learn the skills to produce and broadcast high school sports games, extracurricular competitions, graduation ceremonies, and more.
We sat down with Program Director Amber Pecsenye and Assistant Director Harry So to learn more about their exciting program and the professional-grade gear they use to take their school events live.
The company that installed our control room is BTS Houston, who has experience with RodeoHouston, Houston Texans, and the Houston Rockets’ stadium. We have Fiber, CCUs, Ross Video Carbonite switcher, and a DreamCatcher—we’re proud to give these students tangible skills that make them employable right out of high school.
CCISD | Challenger Columbia Stadium
Now a formidable force in the Texas high school system, C3Studios developed gradually over the past five years. Starting as a teacher in the district in 2010, Pecsenye had a background in production for local professional teams, such as the MLB’s Astros, NFL’s Texans, and MLS’s Dynamo. After receiving the green light in 2013, the program reached out to BTS Houston, the company responsible for technological integration of control rooms for the Houston Rockets and other high-profile organizations. To start, the budget called for basic equipment that could teach students the fundamentals.
“This was the first time [BTS Houston] had ever done a high school control room,” Pecsenye says. “We first had a NewTek 3Play, but we have definitely raised the bar and built this out.”
CCISD | Robotics Center
Clear Creek ISD Robotics Event Center had a large upgrade spring of 2021. CCISD's CTE team worked with BTS Houston to create this custom truss that houses six cameras and two 75" monitors per playing field. Our livestreams are produced by C3Mobile, an expansion of C3Studios student live production crew.

Canare | Transitions Joyce Meyer Ministries HD to 4K
Canare’s 12G-SDI/4K video patchbays, panels and coax cables with various connectors were selected.
Joyce Meyer Ministries is a Christian non-profit organization that produces a daily television program called “Enjoying Everyday Life” hosted by New York Times best-selling author, Joyce Meyer. With modern broadcasting evolving to 4K productions—and an audience base that spans the globe—the ministry’s technical team knew it was time to make the move from HD. For the 4K transition, BTS and Joyce Meyer Ministries worked together to select Canare’s 12G-SDI/4K video patchbays, panels and coax cables with various connectors.
